Miss-Lou has another great week

Last week went out with a bang as the Cathedral Green Wave won the MHSAA Class 1A baseball state championship. Cathedral’s big win wasn’t the only home run for the Miss-Lou last week, though. Let’s take a moment to call out the highlights:
•Adams County Christian School, Cathedral High School and Copiah-Lincoln Community College graduates tossed their caps into the air and took their first step into a bright future. All across the Miss-Lou, students are opening a new chapter, and we encourage them to cherish every moment of this exciting time.
•Natchez Regional Medical Center is no more. But, in its place, is a merged Merit Health Natchez. The Merit Health name is part of a 12-hospital network affiliated with Community Health Systems. While change can be difficult, we’re confident hospital leaders and personnel will make this transition smooth and positive for the community.
Now on the cusp of summer, we look forward to all that the community has in store. Today, especially, we encourage residents to participate in Memorial Day events hosted throughout the Miss-Lou. Our community is overflowing with brave heroes, and we are forever grateful for their fearless service.
