Jean was a member of the Daughters of the Confederacy, Daughters of the American Revolution, Daughters of the Nile and the Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Austin and Opal Quinn Christopher; one son, William Austin Geiger; and an infant daughter.
Survivors include her husband of 70 years, William Albert Geiger; one daughter, Fran Geiger Nolan and husband, Wilton “Wil” of Natchez; one granddaughter, Kristyn Noelle Nolan of Gulfport; and one sister, Doris Etheridge of Starkville.
