NATCHEZ — Cathedral assistant baseball and football coach Brett Hinson resigned from his duties Monday morning.

Cathedral chief administrator Pat Sanguinetti and Cathedral athletic director Craig Beesley said they could not comment on the reasoning behind Hinson resigning.

“We do not discuss personnel matters,” Sanguinetti said. “That is our policy.”

Hinson has been an assistant coach with Cathedral for two years. During that span, Cathedral has won a football and baseball championship.

Efforts to contact Hinson were unsuccessful.
