NATCHEZ — Services for Albert Washington, 70, of Natchez, who died Friday, May 29, 2015, at the University Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Forest Aid Baptist Church with the Rev. James Brooks officiating.06:04 AlbertWashington obitpic

Mr. Washington was born in Adams County, the son of George and Clotile Washington.

He was a retired truck driver.

Mr. Washington was Baptist.

He enjoyed fishing and hunting and was an avid cowboy.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, George Washington Jr. and Walter Washington Sr.; and one sister, Mamie L. Jackson.

Survivors include a loving and devoted wife, Jane T. Washington; six children, Tonya T. Washington, A. Kendall Washington, Anita N. Flowers and husband, Charles, Linda Hughes and husband, Larry, George Phipps and wife, Zabrina, and Teresa Richardson and husband, Tony; four sisters, Anna R. Clark, Peggy Laushaw and husband, John, Louise Williams and JoAnn Sessions; five brothers, Robert L. Washington and wife, Emma, Henry J. Washington, Willie Washington, Jerry Washington and John Washington; 14 grandchildren including three he reared as his own, DeShawn V. Griggs, Kendria Washington and Kendall Washington; two aunts, Hanah Mitchell and Rosie Bethly; a special cousin, Lurie Dean Thompson; special friends, Adrian Lewis, William Cobb Sr., James Brooks, Paul Bourke, Kenny Ray Stewart and Alvin Stewart; and a number of other relatives and friends.
