NATCHEZ — Natchez Police are investigating an alleged “sexual assault-rape,” which is alleged to have taken place at 701 Martin Luther King Jr. St., the location of Cathedral Schools, according to a complaint filed with the NPD.
Pat Sanguinetti, head of school at Cathedral, said he had no comment on the matter.
Natchez Police Detective Jerry Ford said no arrests have been made in the case. He said police are in the preliminary stages of their investigation. Ford said on advice of Natchez Police Chief Daniel White, no other information would be released at this time.
As for the school taking measures to ensure student safety, Sanguinetti said that has always been a priority.
“We take safety measures with school and students all the time,” Sanguinetti said.
