NATCHEZ — Private graveside services for Dorothy Van Rutter, 92, who died Sunday, May 31, 2015, at Merit Health Natchez Community Campus, were Thursday, June 4, 2015, at the Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.

Arrangements were under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Mrs. Rutter was born May 21, 1923, in Dallas, the daughter of E.T. and Rosie Branson.

She and her husband, the Rev. Mel Rutter, were missionaries and were co-founders of Maranatha Mission. She was known to many as Aunt Dottie.

Mrs. Rutter was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, Kenny Rutter; one grandson, David Rutter; and two brothers, Chuck Branson and Bill Branson.

Survivors include one son, Jody Rutter and wife, Kathy, of Natchez.
