FERRIDAY — Memorial services for Richard “Dickie” Barrett Jr., 63, of Ferriday, who died Sunday, June 14, 2015, at his residence, will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Young’s Funeral Home Chapel in Ferriday with Wayne Branton and Richie Barrett officiating.

Visitation will be at 5 p.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.

Arrangements are under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Mr. Barrett was born Sept. 22, 1951, in Natchez, the son of Richard Loughton Barrett Sr. and Mattie Bryan Barrett.

Dickie served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Deborah “Deb” Barrett; two daughters, Shiela Lillie and husband, David, of Ridgecrest and Roberta Wilson and husband, Robert; one son, Richard “Richie” Loughton Barrett III and wife, Melissa, of Acme, La.; seven grandchildren, Tiffany Lillie and fiancé, Waylon Book, Trey Lillie, Taylor Lillie, Gretchen Breaux, Loughton Barrett, Mattie Barrett and Jacob Wilson; two great-grandchildren, Kayden Book and Paisley Lucas; three sisters, Linda Peek, Sandy Burget and Julie “Duke” Edwards; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Diane and Wayne Branton, Pam and Robert Wimberly, Paula Keith, Peggy and Robbie Travis, Gary and Josie Jackson; mother-in-law, Marie Wallace; and a number of nieces and nephews who will dearly miss him.
