GLOSTER — Services for Lillie Mae Halford Bates, 82, of Roxie, who died Tuesday, June 16, 2015, at the Field Memorial Community Hospital in Centreville, will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Brown Funeral Home in Gloster with the Rev. Robert Toney officiating.

Burial will follow at the Mount Pleasant Cemetery near Gloster under the direction of Brown Funeral Home.

Visitation will be at 10 a.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Bates was born Oct. 20, 1932, in Amite County, the daughter of Willie Redden Halford and Willie Mae McCrory Halford.

She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Bates was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Henry Bates; and four brothers, Earl, Julius, Marshall and Harvey Paul Halford.

Survivors include two sisters, Jane Jackson of Roxie and Ruby Nell Savoy and husband, Terry, of Centreville; two brothers, Richard Halford of Wilkinson County Nursing Center and Quinn Allen Halford, both of Centreville; and a number of nieces and nephews.
