Timmy Beatty of Vidalia and Terri Weatherly of Hattiesburg announce the engagement of their daughter, Rachael Beatty to Joshua Melton, son of Wendel Melton and Theresa Hill of Natchez.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Vidalia High School.

The groom-to-be is also a graduate of Vidalia High School and is employed by River Correctional Center in Ferriday.

He is the grandson of Noel and Cherry Melton of Natchez.

The wedding will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, June 27, 2015, at the gazebo on the riverfront in Vidalia.

A reception will follow at Vidalia United Methodist Church.
