NATCHEZ — Services for Isiah Conner, 71, of Natchez, who died Thursday, July 2, 2015, at his residence, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Grove African Methodist Episcopal Church.

Burial will follow at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.

Visitation will be at 9 a.m. until service time Friday at the church.

Mr. Conner was born May 2, 1944, in Adams County, the son of Henry Conner Jr. and Bessie Conner.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Deloris Conner; his parents; three brothers, James, Phillip and Joseph Conner; and two sisters, Orange Lee Banks and Annie Bell Conner.

Survivors include two children, Connie Meade and husband, Julian, of Woodbridge, Va., and Isiah Conner Jr. of Flowood; four grandchildren, Jonathan and Jeremiah Meade, both of Woodbridge, Ciara C. Washington of Hinesville, Ga., and Jamarcus Poole of Woodville; four sisters, Rosalie Anderson and husband, Robert, and Pearlena Johnson and husband, Richard, all of Natchez, Bessie Tyler and husband, Leroy, of Harvey, La., and Willie Mae Eugene of New Orleans; two brothers, Walter Conner and wife, Margie, of LaPlace, La., and Robert Conner and wife, Dorothy, of New Orleans; and a number of other relatives and friends.
