FERRIDAY — Services for Shirley Percy, 61, of Ferriday, who died Monday, July 6, 2015, at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, La., will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Harvest Baptist Church in Ferriday with the Rev. Charles Chandler officiating.

Burial will follow at the Clayton Garden of Rest Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be at 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Ms. Percy was born Jan. 20, 1954, in Clayton, the daughter of Will and Thelma Percy McCarthy.

She was a retired teacher for Concordia Parish School System.

Ms. Percy was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Vera Duke; and one brother, Leon Boxley.

Survivors include one brother, Will McCarthy Jr. and wife, Thelma, of Shreveport, La.; three sisters, Dorothy Evans of Shreveport, Sadie Foster of Austin, Texas and Gloria Green and husband, Cedric, of Ferriday; three faithful cousins, Marie Jenkins of Vidalia, Sally Brown of Clayton and Charles Percy of Shreveport; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
