NATCHEZ — Memorial services for Edward “Mo” Wisner, 68, of Natchez, who died Monday, July 6, 2015, at his residence, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Danny Speed officiating.

Mr. Wisner was born Sept. 28, 1946, in Wisner, La., the son of Milton and Mary Wisner.

He attended high school in Vidalia and graduated in 1964. He went on to play college football at Louisiana State University in 1964. After leaving LSU, he was drafted into the U.S. Air Force where he fought in the Vietnam War from 1966 to 1969. He retired from Johns Manville as an instrument electrician. He enjoyed hunting, golfing, football and family.

Mr. Wisner was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Anne Green.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Reneé Austin Wisner; one son, Jonathan Davis Wisner; one daughter, Erin Elise Dorris; five grandchildren, Peyton Wisner, Jon Avery Wisner, Shelbi King, Graison King and Alivia Dorris; one great-grandchild, Hazel Wisner; beloved extended family, Lucien and Roni Gaudet, Roy Stephenson and Johna Verruchi, Kevin and Verna Russ, Rusty and Maria Todd, Randall Dorris, Ann Wisner and Roberto Bonilla; and mother-in-law, Sally Austin Boykin.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to all the friends who have taken their time to support us in his final days.
