Family and friends hosted a surprise party Saturday, June 20, 2015, for the couple at the Natchez Junior Auxiliary Canteen. The couple has two children, Greg Brown and wife, Shannon, and Melissa Brown, all of Natchez, and four grandchildren, Mattie Brown, Jake Brown and Erin Yelverton of Natchez and Danielle Yelverton of McComb. The couple was married July 11, 1965, at Washington Baptist Church in Washington.
