VIDALIA — The Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office is searching for the owners of several all-terrain vehicles recovered over the last few months.

CPSO Spokesman Vernon Stevens said more than a dozen stolen ATVs have been recovered in investigations of incidents ranging from drug bust to burglaries over the past six months, but the office has not been able to locate the owners of the vehicles.

“We located the owners of two of them that were entered in the national database for stolen property, but in some instances when the vehicles were stolen the owners didn’t know the serial number,” Stevens said. “If (the owners) have had one stolen in the last few months, if they can get the serial number and the description, they can get their bike back.”

Sheriff Kenneth Hedrick said he wanted to commend his investigators, deputies and narcotics officers for their diligent efforts to recover stolen equipment and have it returned to its rightful owners.

Those who have been a victim of an ATV theft can contact CPSO Maj. Jim Boren at 318-226-5231 with the make, model and serial number of the stolen equipment to identify themselves as the owner.
