NATCHEZ — Funeral service for Marjorie Dawn Perry, 50, of Natchez, who died Friday July 17, 2015 at her residence, will be 2 p.m. Monday July 20, 2015 at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Robert N. Armstrong officiating.
Burial will follow at Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday and 1 p.m. Monday until service time at the funeral home.
Mrs. Perry was born November 4, 1964 in Natchez to Tom Fore and Carmen Doughty Fore.
She was a member of Church Hill United Methodist Church. Mrs. Perry taught first and third grade at ACCS for 15 years. She loved to spend her spare time at the Homochitto River with her family and friends.
Mrs. Perry was preceded in death by her mother, Carmen D. Pressgrove, one sister, Valerie Fore Givens, father-in-law, Glen Ray Watkins, grandmother, Doris Burt, paternal grandparents, Horace and Tiffee Fore, paternal grandparents, maternal grandparents, Julia Spencer and Walter Doughty, Sr.
Survivors include her husband, Gus Ercison Perry of Natchez; two sons, Gus Ericson Perry, Jr. and wife, Colbey of Natchez, and Christopher Ray Perry and wife, Myra of Natchez; two grandchildren, Gus Ericson Perry III and Madelyn Blake Perry both of Natchez; father, Tom Fore of Natchez; stepfather, Andy Pressgrove of Natchez; three brothers, Tip Fore, Cap Pressgrove, and Bill Pressgrove and wife, Sabrina all of Natchez; four sisters, Ginger Cavin of Natchez, Missy Forman and husband, R. T. of Natchez, Susan Fore and Mary Fore both of Purcellville, VA : brother and sister-in-law, Kenny and Cindy Rushing; nieces and nephews, Kenny Rushing, Shane Rushing, Duston Dore, Collin Dore, Valerie Forman, Samantha Forman, Joey Givens, Ashley Henderson, Carson, Connor, Dylan and Payden Pressgrove; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Pallbearers will be, Rusty Anders, Tim Jackson, William Barnes, Sam Floyd, Robbie Dollar, Adam Dollar, James Sullivan and Bill Crosby. Honorary pallbearers, Tanner Martin,Braxton Reynolds, Austin Weeks, and Josh Powell.
The family extends a very special thanks to her caregivers, Dr. Stubbs, Ashley Wilson, Pauline Alvis, and Helen White. Thanks to the community for all of the support and love and our deepest gratitude to her very special friend Jeren Young.
