Willie Carter and Ida Bassett of Natchez announce the engagement of their daughter, Tanya Ligon Green to James Carroll II, son of Beulah Fitzgerald of Natchez.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of North Natchez High School and a graduate of Texas Southern in Houston. She is employed by Isle of Capri in Natchez.

She is the granddaughter of the late William and Beatrice Ligon of Natchez.

The groom-to-be is a graduate of John McDonogh in New Orleans and a graduate of Delgado Community College in New Orleans.

He is employed by Landrieu Concrete in New Orleans.

He is the grandson of the late Nathaniel Carroll of Waterproof, La., and the late Linton and Irene Fitzgerald of Natchez.

The wedding will be 4 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 8, 2015, at the Concordia Parish Community Center, Highway 15, in Ferriday.

A reception will follow the ceremony.
