NATCHEZ — Services for Dave Turner Sr., 102, of Natchez, who died Monday, Aug. 3, 2015, at his residence, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Greater New Zion Baptist Church with the Rev. Richard Noble officiating.

Burial will follow at the Sunset View Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. today at Marshall Funeral Home Natchez chapel.

Mr. Turner was born March 15, 1913, in Wilkinson County, the son of Dan and Lutisha Robinson Turner.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mimie Robinson; two sons, Johnny “Tut” Turner and J.T. Turner; seven sisters; and five brothers.

Survivors include three children, Dave Turner Jr. and Mary Davis and husband, Titus, all of Natchez, and Joseph Johnson of Chicago; 16 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; a special niece, Bertha Broadus Williams; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
