PASS CHRISTIAN — A Mass of Christian burial for Charles T. “Ted” Payment, 87, of Pass Christian, formerly of Jackson, who died Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2015, will be celebrated 11 a.m. today at Holy Family Catholic Church in Pass Christian.

Burial will follow at the St. Paul Cemetery in Pass Christian under the direction of Riemann Family Funeral Home in Long Beach.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time today at the church.

Mr. Payment had a successful career in banking and real estate in Jackson before retiring to the coast. He was a fourth-degree Sir Knight with the Knights of Columbus.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Max Payment and Pearl Booth Payment and two brothers, Max Payment Jr. and Phillip Payment.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Mary Gordin Payment; one daughter, Pam Payment of Hammond, La.; two sons, Tim Payment and wife, Kathleen, of Huntsville, Ala., and Andy Payment and wife, Meg O’Beirne, of Pass Christian; five grandchildren, Beth Partain and husband, Jeremy, Ben Payment and Dan Payment and wife, Whitney, all of Huntsville, Adam Monteleone of Hammond and Emily Payment of Pass Christian; and four great-grandchildren, Shelby, Warren, Teddy and Thomas Partain, all of Huntsville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Holy Family Building Fund, St. Vincent de Paul Catholic School or Knights of Columbus.
