WATERPROOF — The four inmates who escaped the Tensas Parish Detention Center Monday have been captured.

Tensas Parish Sheriff Rickey Jones said one inmate, Charles Baughman, was captured Monday evening within three miles of the prison facility.

The remaining three escapees — Kindall Anderson, Travis Cox and Thomas Furry — were captured at a Shreveport residence Tuesday with the assistance of the U.S. Marshal’s Service, the Louisiana State Police and local law enforcement.

The inmates had apparently stolen a truck from Concordia Parish and used it to travel to Shreveport, Jones said.

The four men apparently escaped the parish detention center in Waterproof early Monday morning by “manipulating a lock,” Jones said.
