NATCHEZ — Memorial services for Angela Rose Guercio Madison, 80, of Lake St. John, who died Sunday, Aug. 9, 2015, at her residence, will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Paul Kunnumpuram officiating.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Madison was born May 11, 1935, in Natchez, the daughter of Tommy Guercio and Theresa Benneditini Guercio.

She was a graduate of Cathedral High School.

Mrs. Madison enjoyed cooking, gardening, making wreaths and other crafts. She never met a stranger and enjoyed talking to people and making friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Doug Madison; one daughter, Ann Madison Whittington and husband, Jamie, of Lake St. John; two granddaughters, Amie Therese Whittington of Brandon and Megan Elizabeth Whittington of Ridgeland; one grandson, Trey Madison Whittington and wife, Mandy, of Roxie; one great-granddaughter, Ellie Madison Whittington; three brothers, Jimmy Guercio of Natchez, Sammy Guercio of Lake St. John and Tommy Guercio of The Woodlands, Texas.

The family extends thanks to Kim Wiley and the entire Camellia Hospice, especially Mrs. Madison’s long time aid, Angie Harris.

Memorials may be made to the Natchez-Adams Humane Society.
