ACME, La. — Services for Charles Ray Bordelon, 80, of Monterey, who died Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2015, in Monterey, will be 11 a.m. today at Acme Baptist Church with the Rev. Wade Robinson and Cindy Robinson officiating.
Burial will follow at church cemetery in the direction Young’s Funeral Home.
Mr. Bordelon was born Oct. 14, 1934, in Pineville, La., the son of Joe Bordelon and Roberta Morace Bordelon.
He was a member of Acme Baptist Church.
Mr. Bordelon served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War and Operation Desert Storm.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, William Clarence Bordelon; one brother, Joseph Bordelon; and two sisters, Ruth Evans and Ailene Watson.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Pat Bordelon; three daughters, Linda David and husband, Michael, of Acme, Patricia Waldhauser and husband, Michael, of Lincoln, Neb., and Deborah Henley of Biloxi; three sons, Joseph Bordelon and wife, Ruth, of Gautier, Charles Ray Bordelon Jr. and wife, Elva, of Mobile, Ala., and Obie Atwell of Semmes, Ala.; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be DeWayne Green, Robin Willson, Clark Price, Bobby Joe Sandidge, Sandon Kemp and Lance Thompson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Sehaffette, Alton Pecanty, Lonnie Hughs and C.D. Beard.
