NATCHEZ — Services for mother Letha Ann Smith, 97, of Natchez, who died Friday, Aug. 21, 2015, at Greenwood Manor in Ohio, will be 11 a.m. Thursday at New Zion Baptist Church No. 1 with the Rev. Earnest Ford Jr. officiating.

Burial will follow at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Bateaste Memorial Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Thursday at the church.

Mrs. Smith served on the mother board at New Zion Baptist Church No. 1.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Abraham and Betsy Dennis; her husband, Herman Smith; one son, Dennis Hills; and great-grandson, Uriah Hills.

Survivors include two granddaughters, Andrea Marbury and husband, Rickey, and Sonia Hunt and husband, Mark, all of Dayton, Ohio; one sister, Lovie Mars; one brother, Wallace Dennis and wife, Rose; three great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; a special niece, Betty Ross; and a number of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
