Connie Huffman Thorpe of Vidalia announces the engagement of her daughter, Dorothy Anne Thorpe to Jordan Walker Emeric Jones, son of Lynda Baker Jones of Ferriday and Steve Jones of Monterey.

The bride-to-be is also the daughter of the late Greg Thorpe of Natchez.

She is a graduate of Vidalia High School and is employed by C&M Crawfish in Vidalia.

She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Thorpe of Natchez and the late Dorothy Huffman of Ferriday.

The groom-to-be is a graduate of Huntington High School in Ferriday and is employed by Canal Barge Company as a tanker man in Bellechase, La.

He is the grandson of the late Eunice Walker Baker of Ferriday and Justin Jones and the late Georgia Jones of Monterey.

The wedding will be at 5 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 10, 2015, at 678 Luke Martin Road in Ferriday.

A reception will follow at Panola Woods Country Club in Ferriday.

Friends and family are invited to attend.

Formal invitations will be sent to out of town guests only.
