RIDGECREST — Services for Jessie Jones, 80, of Ferriday, who died Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2015, at his residence, will be noon Saturday at St. Thomas Baptist Church in Ridgecrest with the Rev. Robert Strickland officiating.

Burial will follow at the Ferriday Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home chapel in Natchez and from noon until service time Saturday at the church.

Mr. Jones was born May 18, 1935, in Concordia Parish, the son of John Henry Jones and Luvenia Johnson Jones.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include one daughter, Doris Jones, and a number of other relatives and friends.
