Mr. and Mrs. Craig Chumney of Baton Rouge announce the engagement of their daughter, Kalynn Elizabeth Chumney to Adam Warren Vegas, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clint Vegas of Ferriday.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Episcopal High School in Baton Rouge and a graduate of Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. She is employed by Vidalia High School as a teacher.

She is the granddaughter of Mrs. JoLynn Denning and the late Dr. Harold G. Denning of Baton Rouge and the late Mr. and Mrs. William G. Chumney of Metairie, La.

The groom-to-be is also a graduate of Louisiana State University and the Flores MBA program at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. He is employed by Delta Fuel Company in Ferriday.

He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Vic Vegas and the late Mr. and Mrs. Clay King, all of Ferriday.

The wedding will be at 6 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 10, 2015, at First United Methodist Church in Baton Rouge.

A reception will immediately follow the ceremony at the Baton Rouge Country Club.
