FERRIDAY — Services for Robert Neal, 75, who died Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2015, at Kindred Hospital in Houston, will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday with the Rev. Randy Williams and the Rev. James King officiating.

Burial will follow at the Highland Park Cemetery in Sicily Island under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday and from noon until service time Saturday, both at the funeral home.

Mr. Neal was born Dec. 13, 1939, in Foules, La., the son of Riley Neal and Bertha Bullock Neal.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Earlene Lemoine; one granddaughter, Kandi Walsworth; and two great-grandsons, Noah and Nathan Smith.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Shirley Neal; two sons, Bobby Reese Neal and wife, Barbara, of Baton Rouge and Gary Wayne Neal and wife, Kathrine, of Ferriday; three daughters, Dianne Strange and husband, Sammy, of Jonesville, Penny Kenney and husband, Steve, of Acme, La., and Carol Jean Berry and husband, Donald, of Natchez; five sisters, Marie Ratcliff of Sicily Island, Jerlene Gauthier of Hessmer, La., Faye May and husband, Gilbert, of Summit, Sadie Easom of Waterproof and Peggy Kelly and husband, James, of Vicksburg; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Robert Strange, Mitch Neal, Josh Neal, Milt Neal, Rutger Walsworth, Hunter Walsworth and Roy Allen Nugent.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jace Neal, Judah Smith, Howard Williams, Charles Renfrow, Michael Renfrow, Wayne Tarver and Roy Nugent.
