NATCHEZ — Services for Katie Marie Jackson, 64, of Fort Wayne, Ind., formerly of Adams County, who died Sunday, Oct. 4, 2015, in Indiana, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary Baptist Church.
Burial will follow at the St. Mary Memorial Garden Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the Natchez chapel and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Ms. Jackson was born Feb. 1, 1951, in New Orleans, the daughter of Willie and Virginia Jackson.
She was a mother to many and was also a great cook. She was an avid Colts fan.
Ms. Jackson was employed by Fort Wayne State Developmental Center for more than 30 years and retired from Liberty Health in 2014.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three siblings, Michael Jackson, Johnella Calvit and Callie Ann Jackson.
Survivors include five loving daughters, Ruth McHaney, Ashlee McHaney, Shannon McHaney and Amber Allen, all of Fort Wayne, and Melissa McHaney of Indianapolis, Ind.; two devoted sons, Willie Jackson and wife, Zakeya, and Jordan McHaney, all of Fort Wayne; five grandchildren, Noah Jackson, Elizabeth Jackson, Elijah Jackson, Nathaniel Jackson and Callen Weisenberg, all of Fort Wayne; one godson, Trey’Von Covington; three sisters, Willie Mae Washington and husband, Earl, Brenda Jackson and Velma Williams and husband, Walter; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
