Sicily Island Tigers shutout, 50-0

DELHI, La. — Delhi Charter School’s defense not only held Sicily Island High School to just 62 yards of total offense, but did the job on playmaker Tyreke Tolliver as the Gators took care of the Tigers 50-0 Friday night in an LHSAA District 2-1A game.
Tolliver had 14 touches for the entire ball game. He had just 44 yards rushing on eight carries and was 1-for-6 passing for 15 yards.
The Gators’ offense that was almost unstoppable in the first half. They scored 26 points in the first quarter and added another 14 points to go into halftime with a commanding 40-0 advantage.
Neither team put up any points in the third quarter and Delhi Charter (4-2, 3-0) put the finishing touches on its shutout victory with 10 fourth-quarter points.
Ryan Mason completed one of three passes for 10 yards. Devion Dunbar had one reception for 15 yards.
