VIDALIA — Services for Gloria Jean “Glo Jean” Blaine, 61, of Vidalia, who died Thursday, Oct. 8, 2015, in Houston, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Stephen Baptist Church with the Rev. Leon Dixon officiating.
Burial will follow at the Vidalia City Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home chapel in Natchez and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Mrs. Blaine was born May 23, 1954, in Newellton, La., the daughter of Esaw Gaines and Clara Ransome.
She was a member of St. Stephen Baptist Church and sang in the choir.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Goldman Blaine; and three brothers, Leonard Hooker, Percy Ransome and Woody Hooker.
Survivors include one son, Tyrone Gaines and wife, Pansie; two grandchildren, Tiara and Tyrell Gaines; one stepson, Goldman Scott Jr.; four sisters, Maggie Moore, Shirley Jones, Cathy Warner and husband, Allen, and Sharon Webster and husband, Harold; two brothers, Robert Gaines and wife, Frances, and Joseph Hooker and wife, Valerie; one godchild, Shanda Bunser; one godbrother, Carlez Simmons; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
