LAKE ST. JOHN — Services for Shirley Ann Maxie Williamson, 70, of Lake St. John, who died Thursday, Oct. 15, 2015, in Alexandria, La., will be 2 p.m. today at Lake St. John Community Baptist Church with the Rev. Mark Richardson officiating.
Burial will follow at the Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Visitation will be from noon until service time today at the church.
Mrs. Williamson was a member of Lake St. John Community Baptist Church and was the owner and operator of Plantridge Grocery. She will be remembered as manager of Oak Ridge Manor Apartments and as the famous clerk of The Prentiss Motel. She was loving, kind, happy person with a contagious smile. A most loving daughter, mother, grandmother and Christian woman.
Mrs. Williamson was preceded in death by her husband, Ronny Wayne Williamson.
Survivors include one son, Harlan T. Williamson of Picayune; one daughter, Rhonda Davin and husband, Brad, of Salem, S.C.; her mother, Dorothy N. Williams of Ferriday; her father, William Maxie and wife, Jeanette, of Vidalia; four grandchildren, Jordan Sydney Williamson, Liam Joseph Williamson, Jackson Buford and Daniel Buford; one brother, Bill Maxie and wife, Omayra, of Panama; and two sisters, Gayle Cowan and husband, Dennis, of Ferriday, and Cyndie Dillon and husband, Paul, of Vidalia.
Pallbearers will be Harlan Williamson, Paul Dillon, Dennis Cowan, Stephen Dillon, Shawn Coon and Justin Rojas.
Honorary pallbearers will be Liam Williamson, Steve Ritchie, Fidel Loy and W.B. “Pappy” Ward.
