NATCHEZ — Services for Doris Ann Barfield, 70, of Natchez, who died Thursday, Oct. 22, 2015, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, will be 11 a.m. Friday at Rose Hill Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Kenneth Stanton Sr. officiating.

Burial will follow at the Sunset View Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home chapel in Natchez.

Mrs. Barfield was born Feb. 14, 1946, in Natchez, the daughter of Robert S. and Susie Buchanan McNeely.

She was a member of the Natchez Section NCNW, a member of the choir and Sunday school at Rose Hill, a Merit Health Natchez volunteer and AARP Tax Aide volunteer.

Mrs. Barfield was preceded in death by her parents; one infant daughter, Erica; and one sister, Frances Rose McNeely.

Survivors include her husband, James W. Barfield; one nephew, Robert L. McNeely and wife, Jacqueline; one uncle, Willie Dyer and wife, Diane; one goddaughter, Terrylyn Newman Tucker; and a number of friends.
