FERRIDAY — Services for Barbara Rae Reeves, 71, of Port Barre, La., who died Tuesday, in Port Barre, will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Young’s Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial will follow at the Highland Park Cemetery in Sicily Island under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Ms. Reeves was born June 7, 1944, in Morton, the daughter of Jeff Ray Reeves and Eunice Kelly Reeves.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Edward Reeves.

Survivors include one son, Jeff Follmer and wife, Shera, of Monterey; three daughters, Tammy Stevens and husband, Darrel, of Morgan City, La., Melanie Lucas and husband, Doug, of Ball, La., and Jodie Newman and husband, Allen, of Natchez; her soulmate and loving companion, Dan Edwards of Port Barre; six grandchildren, Chad Holloway and wife, Joni, Chris Waltman, Sommer Simmons and husband, D.J., Dusty Follmer, Garrett Thorpe and A.J. Follmer; one sister, Evelyn Maples of Natchez; special niece, Laura “Sissy” Reeves; and six great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Chad Holloway, Chris Waltman, Garrett Thorpe, D.J. Simmons, Dusty Follmer and Buddy Maples.
