FERRIDAY — Services for James William Nixon Jr., 74, of Ferriday, who died Friday, Oct. 30, 2015, at Riverland Medical Center, will be 10 a.m. Monday at Young’s Funeral Home Chapel in Ferriday with the Rev. Joe Cook officiating.

Burial will follow at the Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Mr. Nixon was born June 13, 1941, in Natchez, the son of James William Nixon Sr. and Jo Marie Walker Nixon.

He was owner and operator of Nixon City Auto Parts.

Mr. Nixon was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Juanita Nixon; four daughters, Janeane King of Gilbert, La., Donna Polansky of Indiana, Arlene Green and husband, Justin, of Monterey and Karen Yates and husband, David Yates Jr., of Madison; one sister, Margaret Rossetti and husband, Floyd, of Vicksburg; five grandsons, Glen Whittington, Jason Whittington, James Richardson, Terry Polansky and Zachery Green; six granddaughters, Nicki Alkire, Patty Trackwell, Heather Fiorillo, Kailey Fourmy, Kelsi Yates and Abbi Yates; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Charles Sanders, Jason Whittington, David Yates, Glen Whittington, Kim Kinsley and Justin Green.

Honorary pallbearers will be Bud Cupit, Rodney Smith, C.J. Bonnette and Zachery Green.
