NATCHEZ — Funeral services for Alice A. “Sue” Smith, 82, of Natchez, who died Friday, Oct. 30, 2015, at her residence, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Morgantown Baptist Church with the Rev. Cade Campbell and Dr. E.L. White officiating.
Burial will follow at Damascus Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the church.
Mrs. Smith was born Aug. 21, 1933, in McCall Creek, the daughter of Edward Allen and Glossie Wilson Allen.
She was a member of Morgantown Baptist Church in Natchez, where she was involved with her family, raised her children, taught Bible studies and served her community.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Smith; her parents; three brothers, Ray, Earl and Billy Allen; two sisters, Pauline Chance and Linda Myers and a grandson, Jonathan Binns.
Survivors include one son, Allen Smith and wife, Anna, of Natchez; one daughter, Paula Binns and husband, Charles Binns Jr., of Natchez; grandchildren Lacie McElwee of Branson, Mo., Dustin Smith of Natchez, Zack Smith of Baton Rouge, Chris Binns of Vidalia and Amy Campbell of Henryville, Ind.; great-grandchildren, Harper Smith, Gracie McElwee, Cooper Binns and Mollie Grace Binns; one brother, Jimmie Allen of Natchez; and three sisters, Jean Boyte of Brookhaven, Shirley Fulgham of Georgetown and Elizabeth Lee of Natchez.
Pallbearers will be Chris Binns, Charles Binns, Dustin Smith, Zack Smith, Jimmie Allen and Glynn Allen.
