NATCHEZ — Services for Diane Wilkinson Shupe, 74, of Natchez, who died Thursday, Nov. 5, 2015, at the Adams County Nursing Center, will be 2 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church of Natchez with the Rev. Dr. Doug Broome officiating.

Burial will follow at the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time Sunday at the church.

Mrs. Shupe was born Jan. 16, 1941, in McCall Creek, the daughter of Charles Earl Wilkinson and Mazie Lee (née Cotten) Wilkinson.

She was a wife and mother and is now resting peacefully.

Diane was a devoted member of First Baptist Church and loved her Sunday school class. She leaves her beloved husband, their three girls and seven grandchildren with the knowledge that they were truly loved and that she loved the Lord.

She was preceded in death by her parents; stepmother, Pauline Hall Wilkinson; and two siblings, Charles “Pete” Wilkinson and Janie Lou Wilkinson.

Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Ronald Traughber Shupe; three daughters, Tanya Shupe Benoist and husband, Glenn, of Southlake, Texas, Shannon Shupe Wheeler and husband, Greg, of Keller, Texas and Rhonda Shupe Uribe and husband, Sergio, of Winston-Salem, N.C.; seven grandchildren, Jake Benoist and wife, Brooke, Patrick Benoist, Caroline Benoist, Andrew Uribe, Katy Uribe, Ally Wheeler and Sam Wheeler; one brother-in-law, Donald Shupe and wife, Alice; three sisters-in-law, Mattillee Waycaster, Tillie McWhorter and Vivian Smith; and a very special Aunt Reba.

Pallbearers will be Johnny Waycaster, Tim Waycaster, Lynn Marvel, Jake Benoist, Patrick Benoist, Andrew Uribe and Sam Wheeler.

Honorary pallbearers will be the ladies of Martha Gammill’s Sunday School Class.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church in Natchez.
