Lauvell Whirl charged with sale of a controlled substance. Case bound over to a grand jury. Whirl charged with possession of a controlled substance. Case bound over to a grand jury.

Rodrick Donald charged with possession of a controlled substance. Case bound over to a grand jury.

Gary Thomas charged with possession of a controlled substance. Case bound over to a grand jury.

Meredith Green charged with possession of a controlled substance. Case bound over to a grand jury.

William Patton charged with possession of a controlled substance. Case bound over to a grand jury.

Mark Sturdivant pleaded guilty to resisting arrest.

Darrin Hughes pleaded guilty to possession of marijuana.

John Sanders pleaded guilty to simple assault.

 

Adams County Circuit Court Cases 

Monday, Nov. 2

Carey Jerome Watson pleaded guilty to statutory rape in Judge Forrest “Al” Johnson’s court. Sentenced to five years in the Mississippi Department of Corrections. Defendant shall receive full credit for time served in the Adams County Sheriff’s Office jail. Must pay all court costs and fees as well as a $200 prosecution fee.

 

Natchez Municipal Court Cases 

Friday, Oct. 30

Damion Chatman, 21, pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct – failure to comply with officer. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $473.

Keith Belton, 18, pleaded guilty to shoplifting – 1st offense. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Banned from all Walmart locations. Fine set at $573.

Jocelyn Tangenisha Taylor, 21, pleaded guilty to shoplifting — 1st offense. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Banned from all Walmart locations. Fine set at $853.

Sharkiesha L. Jackson, 20, pleaded guilty to shoplifting — 1st offense. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Banned from all Walmart locations. Fine set at $573.

Zavier Owens, 21, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor embezzlement. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $643.

 

Monday, Nov. 2

Breonna F. Bynum pleaded guilty to disturbing the peace – domestic violence. Sentenced to 30 days with 27 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Credit given for three days served. Fine set at $473.

 

Tuesday, Nov. 3

Kenneth John Roberts II, 22, charged with nine counts of burglary of a commercial building, cars, etc. Waived preliminary hearing on each count. Case bound over to a grand jury on each count. No bond and previous bond revoked, committed felony while out on felony bond for all charges.

Jeffrey D. Hartley Jr., 19, charged with nine counts of burglary of a commercial building, cars, etc. Waived preliminary hearing on each count. Case bound over to a grand jury on each count. Total bond set at $90,000 ($10,000 on each count).

Jason L. Whittington, 32, charged with embezzlement under contract. Case bound over to a grand jury after waiver was signed.

Dwan Proby, 20, charged with burglary of a commercial building, cars, etc. Waived preliminary hearing. Case bound over to a grand jury. Bond reduced from $55,000 to $40,000. Proby, charged with misdemeanor receiving stolen property. Case was withdrawn by judge for new felony charge. Proby charged with accessory after the fact. Waived preliminary hearing. Case bound over to a grand jury. Bond reduced from $15,000 to $10,000.

Glen Breaud, 46, charged with aggravated assault – domestic violence (felony). Waived preliminary hearing. Case bound over to a grand jury. Bond set at $25,000.

 

Wednesday, Nov. 4

Casey McGraw, 35, pleaded guilty to shoplifting – 1st offense. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Banned from all Walmart locations. Fine set at $573.

Fredrick Washington, 47, pleaded guilty to shoplifting – 1st offense. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Banned from all Walmart locations. Fine set at $643. Restitution set at $335.

Marlie R. Pevey, 59, found not guilty of DUI 1st offense no test — proof failed.

Melissa O’Mara, 41, pleaded guilty to shoplifting – 1st offense. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Banned from Walgreens. Fine set at $573.

Lynda L. Green, 48, charged with possession of a controlled substance. Case dismissed – provided a prescription. Green pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance. Driver’s license suspended for six months. Fine set at $493.

Terrell M. Chatman, 37, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance. Driver’s license suspended for six months. Fine set at $493.

James Williams, 49, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance. Driver’s license suspended for six months. Fine set at $493.

Christopher P. Scott, 25, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance. Driver’s license suspended for six months.  Fine set at $493. Scott pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct – failure to comply with officer. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $473.

Zachary P. Minor, 21, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance. Driver’s license suspended for six months. Fine set at $493.
