Severe weather expected today, Wednesday

NATCHEZ — Strong thunderstorms and heavy winds are expected to hit the area today and Wednesday.
The National Weather Service in Jackson issued a hazardous weather outlook for Adams County, Concordia Parish and the surrounding areas that includes a significant threat of tornadoes this afternoon.
Scattered strong to severe thunderstorms are expected to develop across the region during the afternoon hours. Damaging winds of 60 to 70 mph are possible.
The area is also under a flash flood watch, with two to four inches of rainfall and flash flooding possible. The flash flood watch is in effect through Wednesday morning.
The storms should clear up by Thursday, with the plenty of sunshine forecast for Thursday and Friday.
