NATCHEZ — Adams County deputies arrested Wednesday a man wanted for first-degree murder in Texas.

Kevin Michael Waguespack, 32, was arrested on a warrant from Travis County, Texas, at 17 Waverly Road, the Adams County Sheriff’s Office reported.

At the time of his arrest, family members told deputies they had previously gotten a gun from Waguespack and stored it in a gun safe before law enforcement arrived on the scene.

The weapon was later surrendered to the deputies.

Waguespack was arrested without incident and was booked into the Adams County Jail on a charge of fugitive from justice.
