NATCHEZ — Services for Shelia Coleman-Bates, 38, of Natchez, who died Thursday, Nov. 19, 2015, in New Orleans, will be 11 a.m. Friday at Bateaste Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Charles Kaho officiating.

Burial will follow at Sunset View Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Bateaste Memorial Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Bates was born Dec. 4, 1976, the daughter of Billy Jackson and Ola Coleman.

She attended Natchez High School and was a child care provider. She also enjoyed cooking, cosmetics and fashion.

Mrs. Bates was Baptist.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Makayla Bates; maternal grandparents, John and Sophfronia Coleman; and paternal grandparents, Ira and Annie Jackson.

Survivors include her husband, Johnny Bates; four children, Tiara Hawkins, Nicholas Giles, Caitlyn Coleman and Kendall Bates; two sisters, Elrica Coleman and Kimberly Coleman; one brother, Anthony Coleman; and a number of other relatives and friends.
