NATCHEZ —Funeral services for Earl Harvey Fitzpatrick Jr., 92, of Natchez, who died in Natchez, Thursday, Nov. 26, 2015, will be 11 a.m. Monday at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John Kramer officiating.

Burial will follow at the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today and 10 a.m. until service time Monday at the funeral home.

Mr. Ftizpatrick was born April 19, 1923 in Shreveport, La., to Earl Harvey Fitzpatrick Sr. and Marguerite Currie Fitzpatrick. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church where he taught Sunday school for 40 years, served on the administration board and was a lay reader. Mr. Fitzpatrick was a member of the Lions Club and Jaycees for many years. He was a former president of the Adams County Bar Association and was vice president of the Mississippi State Board of Ethics Committee. Mr. Fitzpatrick served in the U.S. Army from 1942 to 1945 as a staff sergeant in headquarters detachment 12th Army in the European Theater.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Earline Fitzpatrick; one granddaughter, Sarah Zuccaro; stepmother Frances Fitzpatrick and his parents that reared him, Clifford and Alice Field.

Survivors include his wife, Nell Fitzpatrick of Natchez, one son, Cliff Fitzpatrick of Rincon, Ga.; one daughter, Cathy Fitzpatrick of Natchez; one grandson, Richard Zuccaro; two granddaughters, Suzanne Fitzpatrick Chapman and husband, Jonathan, and Kristin Fitzpatrick Shapley and husband, Aaron; three great-grandchildren, Kinsley and Eliza Chapman and Addison Shapley and one brother, Charles Fitzpatrick of Shreveport.

Pallbearers will be Melton King, Aaron Shapley, Jonathan Chapman, Allen Brown and Jim Blough.

Honorary pallbearers will be Bruce Lewis and John Holleman.

Memorials may be sent to Jefferson Street United Methodist Church, Grace United Methodist Church or the Natchez-Adams County Humane Society.
