NATCHEZ — The Mississippi Highway Patrol reported five car crashes — none of which resulted in injuries — in its district that includes Adams County during the Thanksgiving holiday period.
Statewide, four people were killed in separate crashes that occurred between Nov. 25-29, MHP Capt. Johnny Poulos said Monday.
The fatal crashes happened in Tippah, George, Attala and Leake counties.
MHP responded to 221 collisions that resulted in 73 injuries. Four of those crashes were alcohol-related.
Adams County falls under MHP’s Troop M, which made 12 driving under influence arrests, one drug arrest and issued 83 seat belt citations and 18 child restraint citations.
