MEADVILLE — Services for Peggy Cothren, 81, who died Monday, Nov. 30, 2015, at Franklin Memorial Hospital, will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Middleton Creek Primitive Baptist Church in Meadville with Elder Tom Griffin and Elder Luke Addison officiating.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Franklin Funeral Home in Meadville.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. until service time Thursday at the church.

Mrs. Cothren was born Feb. 14, 1934, the daughter of Lenox Seale and Vera Bass Seale.

She was a lifetime housewife who dedicated her life to family and church. She enjoyed traveling, cooking and being surrounded by the people she loved.

Mrs. Cothren was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Alfred Cothren.

Survivors include two daughters, Janice Wilson and husband, Billy, and Sherrie McClatchy and husband, Robert; three sons, Mitch Cothren and wife, Dina, Rex Cothren and wife, Theresa, and Ronnie Cothren and wife, Amy; two sisters, Shirley Cupit and Linda Moak and husband, Cletus; and a number of family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Mac Cothren, Justin Thompson, Todd Thompson, Tanner Cothren, Lail Cothren, Joseph McClatchy and Zack Cothren.

Honorary pallbearers will be Joseph Cothren, David Cothren, Gary Cothren and the Rev. David Cothren.

The family extends a very special thank you to Dr. Estes and all the staff at Franklin Memorial Hospital. Also to family and friends for the many prayers, kind words, encouragement and thoughts.

The family request donations be sent to Middleton Creek Primitive Baptist Church.
