One of the best country music touring shows in the country.” That’s how the upcoming Ronnie McDowell and Friends ‘Nothing But The Hits” concert is being described as it heads to the Margaret Martin Performing Arts Center at Friday.

The concert features music icon, Ronnie McDowell, who has sold over 11 million records with over 19 top ten and several number one songs including, “Older Women” and “You’re Gonna Ruin My Bad Reputation.” Other giant hits include “All Tied Up,” “Personally,” “The King Is Gone,” “It’s Only Make Believe” and “Watching Girls Go By.”

The concert is sponsored by the Natchez Festival of Music.

Natchez Festival of Music President Mary Lessley said this is a once in a lifetime opportunity.

“There are so many legends of country music on this show,” Lessley said. “If you want great music in Natchez, this is the show to see!”

Joining McDowell is the “Jukebox Junkie” himself, Ken Mellons. Mellons scored his first number one with “Jukebox Junkie” but also had hits like “Rub a Dubbin,” “Paint Me A Birmingham,” and “I Can Bring Her Back.” As the name of the concert implies the artists have had collectively over 100 hits in country music like Deborah Allen, who had the smash, “Baby I Lied” and “Rocking Little Christmas.”

Amber Hayes, who is coming off her latest top 40 hit, “Running Out of Memories” will be hosting and entertaining the audience. Her latest release, “Hero’s Heart” is a candid and poignant look at those who sacrifice in battle. Hayes wrote the tune after her great uncle received the “Medal of Honor” last year.

A very special tribute to Johnny Cash is slated with Johnny’s brother, the legendary Tommy Cash, performing. Tommy had 19 top twenty hits himself and one of the biggest country hits ever with “Six White Horses” but he will honor his brother in Natchez. And if the night could not get any better, the voice of Patsy Cline, Mandy Barnett, will belt out some of her biggest hits while remembering Patsy. Teea Goans will be on stage. Goans is looked upon by most artists in Nashville as one of the best traditional country music stars. Special tributes to Conway Twitty and Elvis Presley will be in store as well.

The band will feature a 4-piece horn section comprised of legends from Jimmy Buffett’s Coral Reefer band and the Muscle Shoals Horns. Texas Pedal Steel Guitarist Hall of Famer and Coral Reefer Doyle Grisham will be performing along with a 4 man acapella group named Blend.

“It’s a night you do not want to miss. It’s a legendary concert,” Lessley said. “It’s a show that will put you in the Christmas spirit.”

The concert will begin at 7:00pm, doors open at 6 p.m. with a cash bar at the Natchez Performing Arts Center at Margaret Martin School. Tickets are $50 for VIP tickets (includes a meet and greet with the artists & reserved seating) and $25 general admission and can be purchased by visiting www.natchezfestivalofmusic.com or www.nothingbutthehits.com or at the door.
