VIDALIA — Funeral services for Emma Lola Boles, 96, of Vidalia, who died Saturday, Dec. 5, 2015, at Camelot Leisure living in Vidalia surrounded by her loving family, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Calvary Baptist Church in Vidalia with the Rev. Ron Ledford officiating.
Burial will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery in Sicily Island, La., under the direction of Comer Funeral Home Ferriday.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the church.
Ms. Boles was born March 14, 1919, in Aimwell, La., to Oscar and Emma Jones Randall.
She was a homemaker. Ms. Boles loved her church and her family. Her favorite pastime was reading her Bible. She loved the Lord with all her heart. She also loved to cook and served meals to many people. She will be missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Archie W. Boles; brothers Herman Randall, J.D. Randall and Mattiee Clark; and sisters Suzie Randall and Lillian Hemphill.
Survivors include her children, Larry Boles and wife Peggy of Tallulah, La., Daryl W. Boles and wife, Judy, of Vidalia, Donnie Boles and wife, Suzie, of Vidalia, Ronnie Boles and wife, Diana, of Vidalia, Debra Thornton and husband, Ivy Ray, of Natchez; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sister Lucy Williams of Panama City, Fla.; brothers Monroe Randall and wife, Julia, of Baton Rouge, and Alvin Randall and wife, Edith, of Gonzales, La.; and a number of nieces, nephews and friends.
Pallbearers will be Justin Thornton, Ruan Boles, Joey Chapman, Michael Levite, Jesse Forbess and Doug Yates.
Honorary pallbearer will be Terry Vestal.
