NATCHEZ — Services for Georgia McCrainey Profice, 89, of Natchez, who died Monday, Dec. 14, 2015, at her residence, will be 11 a.m. Monday at Zion Hill Baptist Church No. 1 with the Rev. Joe W. Pickett officiating.

Burial will follow at the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until service time Monday at the church.

Mrs. Profice was born May 16, 1926, in Wilkinson County, the daughter of Manuel McCrainey and Ruth Haynes McCrainey Bernard.

She was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church No. 1. She was also retired from Natchez public school system as a cafeteria manager.

Mrs. Profice was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Theodore Profice Sr.; her parents; one son, the Rev. Layfron Profice Sr.; three brothers, Willie J., Alfred and Herbert McCrainey; two brothers-in-law, Lee Issac and Llyod Morris; one daughter-in-law, Evelyn Redd Profice; and one son-in-law, Alton E. Mosby Sr.

Survivors include three sons, Carol Theodore Profice Jr. and wife, Patricia, Willie L. Profice and wife, Rosena, and Larry Profice and wife, Sandra, all of Natchez; one daughter, Annie Ruth Profice Mosby of Natchez; three brothers, Huey McCrainey and wife, Dorothy, of Natchez, Jake “Peter” McCrainey and wife, Thelma, of Chicago and Manuel McCrainey and wife, Thelma, of New Orleans; two sisters, Aimme Isaac of New Orleans and Leanna Morris of Los Angeles; one brother-in-law, James Profice Sr. and wife, Mary, of Natchez; one sister-in-law, Lee Ester McCrainey of Greenville; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
