NATCHEZ — Services for Evelyn Marie Harrell, 65, of Natchez, who died Friday, Dec. 18, 2015, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Laird Funeral Home Union Street Chapel with the Rev. Denny Calloway officiating.

Burial will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery in Pelahatchie.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. Monday until service time at Laird Funeral Home in Natchez.

Mrs. Harrell was born Aug. 7, 1950, in Natchez, the daughter of Johnie Fielden McCallister and Tempie Laird McCallister.

She was Post Master Relief for five years before becoming Post Master General for the last 18 years before retiring in September 2015.

Marie was an active and beloved member of Briarwood Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother George A. McCallister, her mother-in-law, Doris Elizabeth Harrell, father-in-law, Leo Harrell, sister-in-law, Robyn Harrell, and brother-in-law, Richard Harrell.

Survivors include her beloved husband of 30 years, Ronald V. Harrell of Natchez; two sons, Adam C. Wheeler and Freddie A. Wheeler; one daughter, Mickie L. Harvey;  two brothers, Fred McCallister and Johnnie McCallister; 16 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Regina Coker of Ridgeland; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be the men of Briarwood Church of Christ.
