Meteorologist Latrice Maxie with the National Weather Service in Jackson said at least one tree and several power lines were downed on Wilderness Road, and several more power lines were downed on U.S. 61.

Wind damage and sub-severe hail damage were also reported.

Maxie said no damages had been reported in Concordia Parish as of Friday morning.

The Mississippi State Emergency Operations Center also reported trees and power lines were downed in Adams County, but did not list any structures damaged in the storm.

Entergy customer service manager Tim Runnels said the power outages were limited Thursday because the company has trimmed trees that endangered the lines.

“Last night went very well,” Runnels said. “We’ve done a lot of improvements and it really paid off.”

Runnels said 71 customers were out of power at the peak of the storm, including the entire service area, which spans several counties.

In Natchez, outages peaked at 41 customers, Runnels said.

Lighting hit some power equipment Thursday afternoon, which caused outages Friday morning when customers turned on their lights and devices.

“Overall, we fared well last night,” Runnels said. Friday.
