NATCHEZ — Services for Jerry A. “Killer” Goldman, 73, of Natchez, who died Sunday, Jan. 24, 2016, at Merit Health Natchez, will be 11 a.m. today at Parkway Baptist Church with the Rev. Jeff Brewer officiating.

Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time today at the church.

Mr. Goldman was born Nov. 20, 1942, in Georgetown, S.C., the son of Muriel and Mary Louise Goldman.

He served his country for 20 years in the U.S. Navy. Upon his retirement as a chief petty officer, he returned to Natchez and worked for International Paper Company until its closure.

Jerry was a loving husband, father and grandfather. They enjoyed many camping adventures together and enjoyed spending time with their grandchildren. He was a member of Parkway Baptist Church and served as a deacon, Sunday school teacher and RA leader.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his father-in-law, Joe Freeman; mother-in-law, Vivian Freeman; one sister-in-law, Lessie Youngquist; brother-in-law, Carl Youngquist; one nephew, Keith Goldman; one stepsister, Debbie Carroll Spinks; and one step-niece, Beth Carroll Rogers.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Joe Freeman Goldman; two daughters, Vivian Goldman Richardson of Natchez and Lesley Goldman Leatherwood of Pensacola, Fla.; one son, Joshua Goldman and wife, Mandie, of Natchez; seven grandchildren, Brittany Price, Brianna and Wyatt Leatherwood, Holly Richardson, Haley Palmer, Braden and Joss Goldman; stepmother, Doris Goldman of Natchez; three brothers, Jimmy Goldman and wife, Carolyn, of Sterlington, La., Danny Goldman and wife, Pam, and Glen Goldman, all of Natchez; one sister, Mary Fae Northcutt and husband, Mike, of Pine Bluff, Ark.; three stepbrothers, Harry Spinks and wife, Celia, of Ocean Springs, Bobby Spinks and wife, Dianne, of Jackson and Lamar Spinks and wife, Delores, of Natchez; and a number of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

Pallbearers will be James Goldman, Ronnie Goldman, Matthew Goldman, Bert Goldman, Chris Nethercutt, Patrick Nethercutt, Lew Harveston, Lance Harveston, Mark Harveston and Cody Watson.

Honorary pallbearers will be Parkway Baptist Church Adult Six Sunday School Department.

Memorial donations may be made to Parkway Baptist Church building fund.
