NATCHEZ — Services for Mary “Mae Lee” Brengettsy Hickombottom, 63, of Vidalia, who died Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2016, in Baton Rouge, will be noon Saturday at Jerusalem Baptist Church on Martin Luther King Jr. Road.01:29 MaryHickombottom obitpic

Burial will follow at Zion Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery in Kingston under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 5:45 p.m. today with a celebration of life service at 6 p.m.

Visitation will continue Saturday from 11 to 11:45 a.m. at the church.

Mrs. Hickombottom was born Oct. 30, 1952, in Adams County, the daughter of Huey Holiday and Joanna Jones Dee.

She was a 1972 graduate of Natchez High School and was employed by Trace Haven Nursing Home. She was retired.

Mrs. Hickombottom was a member of St. Alice Baptist Church in New Roads, La. She enjoyed reading her Bible, attending Bible study and cooking.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie James Hickombottom; her father; and grandparents, William H. and Lula B. Jones and Annie Bell Westgo.

Survivors include one son, Donald Markeith Brengettsy; three daughters, Lakeshia Brengettsy, Quesha Brengettsy and Krista Brengettsy; her mother; four brothers, the Rev. Walter L. Smith Sr. and wife, Linda, William Louis Smith, Albert Brengettsy and Hank Payton; seven sisters, Audrey L. Brown, Dorothy Sylvester and husband, Robert, Idell McShan and husband, Maurice, Janice Holiday, Annie Bell White and husband, Darrell, Felicia Payton and Karen Alkharouf and husband, Shadi; three grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
