FERRIDAY — Services for Audrey Lee Melton, 83, of Ferriday, who died Thursday, Jan. 28, 2016, at her residence, will be noon Monday at Young’s Funeral Home Chapel in Ferriday, with Paul A. Brashier officiating.

Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Monday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Melton was born Jan. 18, 1933, in Arkansas, the daughter of Dolar Patrick and Bennie May Bullard.

She was a member of First Baptist Church of Vidalia.

Mrs. Melton was a lunch room manager at Vidalia Upper Elementary School for the Concordia Parish School District for 26 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marzell Melton; her parents; one sister, Olla Jane Bullard of Baton Rouge; two brothers, Henry Sammy Bullard Lake Providence and Winfred Pete Bullard Sr. of Albuquerque, N.M.

Survivors include two sons, Jack L. Melton and wife, Ann, of Ferriday and Larry D. Melton and wife, Kelly, of Pagosa Springs, Colo.; three brothers, Bobby J. Bullard of Carthage, Texas, Onward B. Bullard of Florida and Pat L. Bullard of Tallulah; one sister, Virginia May Caviness of Delhi, La.; four grandchildren, Mack Melton and wife, Kim, Misty Bryant and husband, Robert, Beth Irvin and husband, Brad, and Jennifer Melton; three great-grandchildren, Blake Irvin, Bailey Irvin and Sophia Bryant; and a number of sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
